Today the sun is out, but no picture taken with a little digital camera can do justice to how beautiful the trees are shining in the sun. Robert Frost said it, in Birches:
Often you must have seen them
Loaded with ice a sunny winter morning
After a rain. They click upon themselves
As the breeze rises, and turn many-coloured
As the stir cracks and crazes their enamel.
Soon the sun's warmth makes them shed crystal shells
Shattering and avalanching on the snow-crust
Such heaps of broken glass to sweep away
You'd think the inner dome of heaven had fallen.
(And the roads in our area are clear, and we didn't lose power.)

Glad you're safe there. Heard a bit on the radio about it. Here (Northwestern Ontario) we have a big dump of snow coming tonight and tomorrow. Yet again. best check with the repair shop on my snow blower! scooping out the entire driveway is getting to be a pain! Literally. and stock the fridge!!!! Cheers,
I'm glad to hear you have power and heat!
Nasty storm. Nice Frost poem to quote.
Stay safe, Ev
